Final Defense

This is my cool thesis group (minus Beth Ashby). I have to say that I believe that we have the best and funnest group. We have had so much fun together. I'm glad we got to spend a lot of time together- even though it was working on our paper.

Right now it is 12:52 p.m. That means I have 53 more minutes until we defend our thesis. Suprisingly, I am not nervous-just ready to be done with all of this.

Here's to defending our thesis...hopefully we will still graduate June 15th!!

3rd Grade is Over

Today was the last day of school for students. I am in shock that it is already the end of the year. I remember last year at this time thinking that I was never going to get through this year. And here I am a year later...21 days left until I am officially done.

This year with these students has been wonderful. I will miss them dearly. They are very special to me and I hope great things for them in their years to come. It is weird to think that I am moving away and the chances of seeing these students again is very slim. I will take my memories of them and the lessons I have learned with me wherever I go in life.

Greenville, NC here we come!

Chad and I visited Greenville, NC this past weekend...and it looks like we will be moving there in June! Chad got offered a youth ministry job at University Church of Christ and he took it! He is real excited about the opportunities there and had lots of exciting stuff planned for the youth. We loved the church and the people there. The area is real nice also. Now, we just have to find somewhere to live and hopefully I can find a job! Praise the Lord we know where we are going next! God is so faithful!

This video was made for our weddding last year. Next Sunday (May 27th) we will celebrate our 1-year anniversary. I can't believe it has been one year...in some ways it feels like forever and then other days it feels like it was just yesterday. Currently, we're in North Carolina...hopefully finding a job!

Job Interview

Chad and I leave Friday for Greenville, North Carolina! Chad is going to interview at a church for a youth ministry position. We are really excited about this opportunity and anxious to see where God would have us go next year. Please pray for Chad as he prepares lessons to teach on Sunday- he will be teaching to two groups of kids. Also, pray for safe travels and wisdom for the church and us. Thanks! I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

These are pictures of Chad and I from our honeymoon. I can't believe it, but in 19 days we will celebrate our 1-year wedding anniversary! The time has flown by! I think back to where I was a year ago...just graduated college, waiting for all the girls to move out of my hall so I could go home, stressed out with planning a wedding, anticipating graduate school....and I could go on and on. God really has brought us a long way this past year. He has continued to show us he is faithful and I trust he will continue to do so.

The Beginning

Well, this is definitely the beginning of a new adventure for Chad and I. Chad graduated from college on Friday! This was a very exciting time for him because it is a HUGE accomplishment. I am very excited for him. He is the first member of his family to graduate from college. We also spent the weekend in a cabin with his family. I loved being able to relax and enjoy time with family. Our adventure begins with us looking for God's leading in our lives. We thought we had a plan, but God has a different one. When one door closes another one opens, right? I pray that God would make this evident and true in our lives. Please pray for us as we seek God's direction in our new adventure.
